About me
Looking back on his life from the time he became a born-again believer in Jesus Christ at the age of 15, DeMarcus knew God had big things in store for him. He never expected to walk away from h.s. football after one year along with dreams of becoming an NFL athlete and pursue after the things of God's heart for his life. He asked to leave public school altogether to attend a private Christian academy. Those three years of h.s. school were some of the most lasting memories and growing experiences he ever had.
He later went on to attend a small Bible college in Winston-Salem, NC a short while before God opened a huge door for him to transfer to the world's largest evangelical college, Liberty University where he eventually received both his Bachelor's in Biblical Studies and Masters in Theology & Apologetics. Key people like Dr. Ergun Caner, the late Jerry Falwell, Sr. and Mr. Ernie Rogers, Assistant Dean of LU Aeronautics Dept, who had a major spiritual impact on his life. It was at LU where he began to develop into a leader in his residence hall and Living Proof high school ministry at Thomas Road Baptist Church and also surrounding community. DeMarcus later earned an additional Masters in Aeronautical Science from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in May 2012.
After many closed doors while pursuing a pilot career in the US Air Force and the United State Army, DeMarcus saw that God had plans elsewhere and is currently pursuing an airline pilot career. As a native of SC, DeMarcus grew up a military brat and spent his younger life in Oklahoma and Germany before his father eventually retired back home in SC. The military life is something most military brats like himself gravitate to as they seek a career life. DeMarcus long term goal and ultimate heartbeat for God is missionary aviation. He believes strongly in the Great Commission as a imperative command from Christ to all believers and not merely an option.
